What to Expect from Your Dog Photography Photoshoot
A dog photography photoshoot is the perfect way to create lasting memories — whether it’s a treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one.

1. Book Your Consultation
To get started, simply complete the form on the Contact Page. We’ll arrange a convenient time for a friendly telephone call to chat about:
-
The kind of images you’d love to capture
-
Your dog’s personality and preferences
-
Ideal dates, times, and locations for your photoshoot

2. On the Day of
Your Photoshoot
When the big day arrives, we’ll meet at your chosen location. I’ll take some time to:
-
Get to know your dog and help them feel relaxed
-
Gently introduce them to my camera gear
-
Ensure they’re completely comfortable before we begin
The shoot itself usually lasts between 1–2 hours, but there’s no pressure or strict time limit — it’s all about capturing your dog at their best, whether that’s in action or at rest.
3. Choosing the Perfect Location
I prefer to work in environments that are familiar to you and your dog, helping everyone feel at ease and enjoy the session.

Not sure where to go? I know a range of stunning, dog-friendly spots across Kent, London, and the South East, and I’d be happy to make suggestions based on your preferences.

4. Your Images & Reveal Session
Within 1–2 weeks of your photoshoot, you’ll receive a selection of professionally edited images via a private online gallery.

Want help deciding how to display your favourites? I also offer in-person reveal sessions where I can guide you through wall art, albums, and keepsake options — all in the comfort of your own home.

My dog can't be off the lead, is that ok?Please don't worry if your dog cannot be off the lead as with my editing process I can remove the lead and you'd never know it was there. If you have a long line, then this can always be used for any action shots you'd like.
-
My dog isn't well behaved or good with other dogs. That is absolutely fine, because not every dogs wants to sit, stay or lay down when we ask them, and if your dog is anxious, nervous, or doesn't get on with other dogs that's ok too. We can still have fun and make it an enjoyable experience, whether it's at a quiet location or a dog friendly field.
-
I own more than two dogs, can they be included in the session?Yes of course! If you have more than two dogs I ask an additional fee of £20 per dog. They must be owned by you and part of our pack, with suitable handlers for your dogs. It's also important to remember that for your photoshoot to be relaxed and fun we want the dogs to be as calm as possible and not over excited by too many distractions from other dogs or people around them.
-
Can my family or I be part of the photoshoot?Absolutely yes, of course you and your family can join in. I love capturing the bond people have with their pets and what better way of capturing it than having you as part of the experience.

What if the weather forecast isn't good?Should the forecast look like rain we may need to re-schedule as it will be hard to get those perfect images. Again if the forecast is set to be very hot, we may need to re-schedule the photoshoot as the welfare of your dog is paramount and I wouldn't want a dog to get over heated.
